The Future is roughly defined by the dictionary as something that will happen or exist in time to come. The future is rooted in the past. It has associated and attached conditions, especially of success or failure.

Meet Lesedi – she is the first child from one of our educares to be featured in our new campaign – The Future Starts Now. Inspired by real stories, real people, and real dreams. Lesedi is an exceptional young lady and has all the ingredients to become a successful future entrepreneur.

We want to change the fate of residents from Masiphumelele and uplift them – helping them forge a new destiny and path for them and their families. This is precisely why we have launched The Future Starts Now. This campaign is aimed at improving people’s lives and the general wellbeing of Masicorp, so we may continue our work for the community.

Our Vision Remains Unchanged

We have come a long way since 1999, John and Carol Thompson founded Masicorp with a vision that they believed would shape a new South Africa. Looking back from then until now – we have achieved so much but our country still has such a long way to go. It hasn’t been all rainbows and sunshine either. We have faced struggles and overcome plenty of hurdles with your help. Even though we feel like we still owe the community of Masiphumelele the very best of ourselves every day, and we do give that – we cannot reach our ultimate goals without your help.

We want to uplift the community of Masiphumelele and help them create a sustainable future for themselves via our unique approach to education and skills development programmes that up-skill people and uplift them from dire living circumstances. It’s a new era for Masicorp and 2021 will most certainly bring a fresh set of challenges to the table. Our dedicated team have shown that we are fully committed to realising our goals. Just as we are looking towards the future – we absolutely must look back into the past and learn from our shortfalls. This ever-evolving attitude that we take on with broad and responsible shoulders has cemented us in the community as a charity organisation in Cape Town that is committed to helping people succeed and future proof their skills so that they may lead an outstanding life.

The wellbeing of Masiphumelele rests upon your gifts that support our work and community education. This holistic approach to a new era in South African charity work allows people to create their own destiny rather than providing people with handouts. The liaison between community members and Masicorp speaks volumes – we are improving life for residents from Masi every day and the results speak for themself.
