Teddy Nyali instructs Masi kids in home exercises via Whatsapp
By Vince van der Bijl
The MCC Masi Sports Project coaches have worked on ways to communicate with the sports kids and their parents isolated in the township to encourage home exercises. The WhatsApp groups per team will also share life skills to encourage parents to chat about them at home. This innovative video crafted by Teddy Nyali, our Ukhanyo PS sports coordinator is a gem. It entertains and instructs and allows the kids to see the exercises performed at home by their teammates.
Families in the township often do not have internet access with laptops so communique to spread the word with WhatsApps is the best way, to date. The lack of space or gardens deepens the ability to exercise at home.
Post-covid, this method will include match schedules and other important notices for the parents and learners.
Well done to Teddy for his innovation. Excellent!!!
