A total of 60 people took part in the FACE Charity Golf Day and produced the perfect result – a final score of about £2500 raised for the project.
The event took place at Rochester and Cobham Golf Course in Kent and was won by Ken Jeavons, with Jo Beslee taking the ladies prize. There were also prizes for the winning team, men’s and ladies runners-up, longest drive, nearest the pin, pro approach and most hotly debated of all, the worst shot!
It began with a bacon roll breakfast and finished in the clubhouse with a lunch and prize giving.
The event was organised by Eric Goodwin, one of the FACE stalwarts, and his renowned good fortune with the weather once again paid off as the forecast of rain all day never happened.
