A rare day of sunshine made for a perfect FACE Picnic by the River Medway on the May Bank Holiday.
The picnic was hosted by Jackie Hearn as her version of the monthly FACE Suppers, which have proved such a winner for the group’s fundraising efforts.
The suppers are hosted by a different member each time and all those ‘signed up’ to the idea have committed to a monthly payment of £20 a head for a whole year. The suppers have also proved to be the ideal monthly get together for a team update on how things are progressing.
Breaking away from the norm of a mid-week supper proved a great idea with a feast of goodies on the tables from Jackie with the help of some of the other ladies. Everyone agreed there is something about sunshine that makes the wine slip down even more easily.
